Along with Black Friday, Cyber Monday is one of the best times of the year to get a new TV, and this year is no exception. As in previous years, we’re seeing discounts on TVs from brands including Amazon, Hisense, Insignia, LG, Samsung, Sony, and TCL.
Right now we’re still seeing 2022 models that are at their lowest prices ever. In addition, some 2023 sets have now been on the market for several months and have come down from their introductory prices.
Retailers are also selling newer “derivative” sets, which are offered as Black Friday and Cyber Monday specials. These TVs are very similar to models introduced earlier in the year but with slightly different model numbers, and they usually sell for a lower price. Some may be exclusive to a single retailer, such as Best Buy or Walmart.
You’ll also come across doorbuster specials, or sets that are priced extremely low to entice you to come into a store or shop online. Just be aware that these TVs typically aren’t the best sets, and they’re usually offered in limited quantities, with no rain checks given once they sell out.
